Can I use a copyright image or a Trademarked image ?
Definitely not. Copyright and Trademark laws mean that we cannot legally reproduce a badge, rosette or any other personalised article using any artwork, clipart or photograph - whether in digital or hardcopy - taken from any publication or downloaded from the internet. Remember that also certain words and phrases are also covered by Trademark law.
How do I pay ?
Please see the options here.
Depending on which of our sites you use then payment will be shown on your credit card/bank statement or Paypal statement as CardsnBadges or Candle & Gift Shop.
If we agree to payment on receipt, then this is what we mean!
If payment is not received within a reasonable time, then we will apply a 'late fee' and then apply to the Court to recover the money - at your expense.
I have heard a lot of bad things about dealing with companies on the internet - and that after paying the goods do not arrive.
What guarantee do we have that this will not happen to our order.
We are not just a web-based business.
We also have a physical presence in the High Street and are members of the Federation of Small Businesses - and are not afraid of telling you where we are or of giving you a telephone number where 99% of the time you will get a live response - not an answering machine. We are a family business that has been trading for over 10 years on the internet, during which time we have acquired an excellent reputation for quality and customer service. This is evidenced by the fact that a very large proportion of our business is now by repeat orders or personal recommendation. We don't claim to be perfect and very occasionally we make mistakes, but if we do, then we will put them right as soon as possible at our expense. When you speak to us you are dealing with the owners of the business - the same people who will design, produce and despatch your order. Either before or after you have placed the order you can always phone us - in addition we offer customer service outside the normal office hours ( but please try not to phone us too early in the morning or too late in the evening ! ) - which is also available 7 days a week.
How are the sashes fastened ?
The sashes are approx 1.8M (6 feet) long, and are supplied with self adhesive male and female Velcro-type fasteners.
This allows you to Cut the sash to the exact length to suit, and have your own style of end (straight, diagonal or swallow tail) and to make any final adjustments before wearing
before finally attaching the fasteners
I have designed my own badges - can you make them for me ?
Yes.
Remember that whilst the viewable face of the badge relates to a 45mm or 57mm badge, that the actual printed area of the artwork should extend (bleed) beyond the nominal badge diameter, as we need the extra to be able to form the badge and secure it within the plastic back. This will ensure that there are no white edges on the badges.
We would recommend that you edge any text in a contrasting colour to 'lift' it from the design.
What colour text or ribbon do you have ?
The colours of ribbon that we currently have in stock, as well as the text colours are shown on our web site.
Metallic silver and metallic gold looks good on most colours - but particularly against a darker coloured ribbon. Black text looks better on the lighter brighter coloured ribbon (i.e. it is not very good on purple and black - but OK on the others). Lighter coloured text such as white or pink is better on the lighter coloured ribbons, but is not recommended on the darker coloured ribbon because for certain ribbon/text colour combinations the text cannot totally block out the competing effect of the darker background
Can you print logos / images on sashes ?
The process we use for sashes is not screen printing - which is why we can produce small quantities economically.
Because of this, we can only print images that are line artwork or very simple logos - we cannot print in half-tones.
Any logo can only be printed in one colour - and this must be the same colour as any text that appears on the sash.
